December 16th

We had the first snow of winter today and leaving work early I saw a guy on the side of the road holding a sign saying Centreville, $20. His car had broken down and he wanted a ride. I ignored the niggling feeling that this could lead to danger and pulled over. He turned out to be very friendly and grateful for the ride especially as I refused his $20. Having done my good deed for the day which was later followed by a steaming mug of hot chocolate laced with Jamesons and accompanied by truffles made a perfect ending to my day.

Squelchie came in today wearing a shirt chosen by a girl but apparently hated by his guy friends. They actually all hate it. He said he liked it and wore it because he got positive comments from women. I fully support him and love the shirt!
