Probably the last group photo of some of the staff (not me, of course) of Artisan in the old salon on the last day there before the grand reopening in the new building on Tuesday.

So pleased to see the snow ploughs on the main roads. Plenty of cars already stranded and I don't want to be one of them.

Finally acquired this car from my 5 year old buddy, Luke. I've been after it for ages.

January 23rd

Took my friend Jeff on his first urbexing trip. He loved it and now wants to do more. The lighting here was perfect for this shot.

Pieces of English Victorian glass that I dug up years ago and strung together which now hang in my kitchen.

January 20th

My friend Pam brought her dog toy in to work to show me. It's the Fearless Captain Chipmunk and can be catapulted through the air and then makes chipmunk chatter noises when it lands. Pam thought it would be a great idea to take it's photo then show it flying past the Statue of Liberty. Anything to oblige!

A friend brought me this beautiful little box made in Boliva. He'd spent Christmas there with his family. So nice to have something not 'made in China'!

I guess this means my time on the computer is over for now.

Made a new friend today who was game to be our model when we went urbexing. We got some great results thanks to his willingness and patience.

January 15th

So today is 'National Dress Up Your Pet Day' and good ole Kota rose to the occasion with his 'A Day in the Country' outfit. He wasn't too impressed but I did keep his bag of treats in his sight so he knew there would be a reward! I think he looks very dapper!

I let Kota out early this morning before heading back to bed, and discovered Jeff had barricaded the cat flap with my patio chair, plant table and pots, even though it was locked shut. I couldn't stop laughing! Jeff really took his cat sitting duties very seriously, God bless him.

The Weather map for January 8th, showing snow covering virtually every part of  Great Britain. This has been the worst weather for 30 years and some parts have been as cold as the South Pole.

A 1959 Austin A40 which was one of the first ever hatchbacks. It was parked in Ringwood, Dorset, where we waited for the coach that would take my brother to the airport.

January 4th

My Mum, God bless her. She's been bearing up so well and is cooking a wonderful rump steak casserole tonight for us to eat tomorrow after Dad's funeral if we're hungry. We've had some tears and some laughs since I've been here, and I know she's exhausted. I'm so looking forward to her getting some rest after tomorrow and will do everything in my power to ensure she gets it.

January 3rd

An oil painting I painted when I was about twenty years old. Dad saw it and said, "I'll have that!"

January 2nd

Mum's dessert at Druscilla's, a wonderful local pub where all food is cooked on the premises and comes from local supplies. This was Melon Balls with Ginger & Lemon Sauce. I was assured that it was delectable.

January 1st

This is Phillip the Pheasant, a regular visitor to Mum's back garden, and apparently, other peoples' back gardens. Mum feeds him as it seems does everyone else judging by his pristine condition. He's quite tame.
