October 13th
The whole world held its breath today as the Chilean miners were brought to the mine's surface and freedom after 70 days of being trapped underground. These are photos of the computer and TV as I followed their progress throughout the day. The top is of some of the earlier rescues and the bottom is the first sighting of the shift foreman, the last man to come above ground and the hero who held all the men together as they waited to be found.
