June 28th
At work today, we had a heavy storm. Jessy and I ran outside with her daughter to cool off. It took seconds to get soaked and because the rain was so warm, we didn't really feel any cooler...

At work with Rob, he wanted this shot taken with me looking up through the mezzanine floor. It worked out well.

Kota's consistent yowling finally paid off and I let him outside. He was very sensible and carefully scouted the house twice before wandering further afield. Here, he's taking a breather outside the garage and planning how he'll evade my company and lunge for the perimeter fence. He did achieve this but so far, has not wandered off too far.

Another late upload because I couldn't get internet at Rob's house, but hey, where there's a will, there's a way, so these next 3 uploads are from his workplace at 7:46am on Sunday.

The grain silos in Culpeper. Robert very kindly stopped the car on the railroad tracks so I could get this shot. Open the door and let that train in Rob...

So I'm in the doctors' office waiting to be seen and looking around, I saw some cool gadgets on the wall. Temptation being too strong, I picked up this one for looking in ears and up noses and things. Couldn't look in either of my orifices mentioned so settled for studying my paw. Wow, Andy had done a really great job with my nail polish, but damn, my cuticles are a mess. The doctor entered and interrupted me so I never had the opportunity to explore further.

So my intellect took a nose dive this week as every day I've come home from work and turned on Square Bob Sponge Pants. I really love this show and got hooked watching it with The Lukestar and Maximus, but to watch it of my own accord? Whatever. It makes me laugh and I love the characters. All together now, "Who lives in a pineapple under the sea...?"

June 15th
Today was a great day as T Bird sent out an e-mail saying the candy jar is back....and bigger. We had lost our previous one on Michelle's desk as she'd got annoyed by people dropping M&Ms on the floor which attracted ants. I couldn't get my head around this for 2 reasons: 1) why would someone not want a candy jar on their desk, and 2) why would anyone drop chocolate? I had lamented long and loudly over the loss of our jar and mourned the absence of our mid afternoon nibbles. I was ecstatic to receive the Boss Man's message and immediately hopped and skipped my way over to the showroom. What a wonderful sight to behold! And better candy than before. I had to dig a bit for a Reeses Cup but I was a very happy bunny as I headed back to my desk.

Our revamped manual press. New boards and clamps purchased for $700 and put on by Oscar and cleaned. A new press would've cost around $7.000.

Pam found this car outside work and we wondered how many times it had been driven over. Glad it wasn't a real one...

Went on a bike ride in search of bluebirds. Didn't find any bluebirds but did find some clover basking in the afternoon sun.

Another trip to the local diner for a blowout after a hard days work cutting lawns and painting equipment.Another photo for the day at Rob's insistence:
Later that evening, I was presented with a plate loaded with lemon cookies, a mug of milk and a spoon in the mug. "What's the spoon for?" I inquired, and received a look of total disbelief from Rob when he heard that I'd never done the 'milk & cookies' thing despite having lived in the U.S. for 11 years. So I learned to dunk the cookie, submerge it with the spoon, then fish it out before getting too soggy, scoff the whole plateful and then wash down with the remaining milk.

Yum! I have some serious catching up to do...

A trip to Kohr Bros, the original frozen custard creators, for a chocolate and vanilla twist dipped in chocolate and served to us by another Brit. How cool was that? Literally...

June 1st
This was taken very quickly this morning, hence the poor quality, of a turkey vulture having his breakfast on a road near Rob's house. There were 3 others waiting on the sidelines.
May 31st
Kota Kat, viewed through the fish tank, responding to attention from Rob, who he seems to idol worship. I'm jealous.
