Sac Metro firefighter Matt Randazzo tries to resuscitate a cat outside an apartment complex that was heavily damaged by fire on Fair Oaks Boulevard in Fair Oaks, Calif., on Aug. 24. The cat was unable to be revived.
What a sad photo. How easily this could be my little Kota Kat, but I was immensely touched by the compassion shown by the firefighter. What a wonderful human being.
